When a big scale disaster strikes, the challenge is to deliver the much-needed emergency supplies to the vulnerable people faster and at a minimum cost. The emergency supplies consist of essential non-food and shelter items, which are critical in meeting the immediate needs of those affected by disaster.

The objective of the pre-positioning strategies is to better assist the vulnerable groups affected by the disasters. Through pre-positioning strategies and working with partners, the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement in better position and have the capacity to respond and recover from the disasters.
